Race Support

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your booking of race-day support from Race Support. By paying for a package you agree to them, so please read them before you book.

Who we are

Race Support is operated by COACH M RUNNING CLUB (PTY)LTD, registration number 2024/831923/07, of 36 11th Street, Menlo Park, Gauteng, 0081.

You can reach us at support@racesupport.co.za or +27 62 826 2246. In these terms "we", "us" and "Race Support" mean that business, and "you" means the athlete making the booking.

What we provide

We provide race-day seconding and support for the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon. Exactly what is included depends on the package you buy, and the package description shown at checkout forms part of this agreement.

Support typically includes meeting you at agreed points on the route with nutrition and hydration you have specified, and may include start drop-off and other logistics where your package says so.

Booking and payment

  • All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and are payable in full at the time of booking.
  • Your booking is only confirmed once we have received payment and issued your race pass and reference number.
  • Payments are processed by Yoco. We never receive or store your card details.
  • If a payment is reversed, charged back or fails after your booking is confirmed, we may cancel the booking.
  • You are responsible for giving us accurate details — race number, start batch, contact numbers and nutrition requirements. We cannot support you properly if these are wrong.

Your responsibilities on race day

  • Be at the agreed points at the agreed times, as far as your race allows.
  • Tell us as early as possible if your race number, start batch or nutrition requirements change.
  • Tell us about any allergy, medical condition or dietary requirement that affects what we hand you. We rely entirely on what you tell us.
  • Follow the rules of the race organiser at all times. Nothing we do overrides those rules, and you remain responsible for your own compliance with them.

What we cannot promise

We are a support crew, not a guarantee of a result. We cannot promise a finish, a medal, a time or a personal best, and no part of our service should be read as medical, nutritional or coaching advice for your specific condition.

Endurance racing carries real risk. You take part at your own risk and remain responsible for your own health, your decision to start and your decision to continue. If you are unsure whether you should race, speak to a doctor.

Things outside our control

Occasionally we may be unable to reach a support point, or to support you at all, because of something outside our reasonable control — road closures, route changes, severe weather, accidents, load shedding, network failure, unrest, or a decision by the race organiser or authorities.

Where that happens we will do what we reasonably can to support you elsewhere on the route and will tell you as soon as we can. Our refund policy sets out what happens to your payment.

Liability

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for a race result, or for loss you suffer because information you gave us was incomplete or incorrect.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you book is the version that applies to your booking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
